About CSERGE
Welcome to CSERGE
Welcome to the website for The Centre for Social and Economic Research on the Global Environment (CSERGE). Based at the University of East Anglia, we are a leading interdisciplinary research centre in the field of sustainable development and decision making.
CSERGE was founded in 1991 with the explicitly interdisciplinary remit of examining all aspects of decision making regarding environmental resources. The Centre consists of a number of collaborating disciplines including economics, political science, social and group sciences, geography, life cycle analysis, information systems and the natural sciences. It has won national and international praise for its pioneering research on the integration of this diverse set of disciplines to provide holistic and practical decision making systems for delivering sustainable development an ecosystem services and enhancing the positive role of the environment upon wellbeing.
CSERGE welcomes researchers from all disciplines, policy makers and the public to find out more about what we do and join with us in seeking better ways for delivering sustainable decision making.
